ATLANTA, GA (August 4. 2025) - After three decades in cardiology, Wayne T. Gaskin, MSc, BSc, RN-BC, RCIS, has seen a common and troubling pattern: people often don’t prioritize their health until it’s nearly too late.
Now, as CEO and co-founder of Ocean Botanicals, Wayne is focused on helping shift the conversation toward preventative health and holistic wellness.
“It wasn’t until it was nearly too late that I saw many patients turn to medication,” said Gaskin. “I want to help people focus on prevention - maintaining a balanced, nutrient-rich diet, exercising regularly, and using natural products that support longevity.”
Caribbean Roots to Modern Wellness
Wayne grew up in the Caribbean, where sea moss was a staple in his home. “My parents would serve it to me in drinks,” he recalls. “It wasn’t until recently, maybe 2019, that sea moss gained popularity in the U.S. But for us, it’s always been part of a healthy lifestyle.”
When given the opportunity to join a company focused on proper sourcing, authenticity, and ocean-grown, plant-based nutrients, Wayne knew it was the right move.
